So, we're having some issues with telstra charging us for services we dont need, or want, or can actually have in the first place (such as caller ID display phone handsets which we asked for, but they never delivered), but thats not the source of the angst, rather, their new 'intelligent' voice recognition software which is supposed to guide you to the appropriate option, (as opposed to the good old "Press 1 for Billing, 2 for Internet Services, Mash the keypad to speak to an Operator".
This new fangled technology is horribly inept, they should have stuck with the outsourced call centers, and there was a good 10 minutes of it telling me it couldnt understand 'Operator'. What is interesting though, is that it responds well to profanity, I got through straight away- everyone feel free to keep that in mind should you ever suffer voice recognition software :)
