Rantage of my life...
I broke my phone, how? I chucked it!
Perhaps I should start at the beginning? I own a Sony Ericcson K700i, bought it almost 18 Months ago. Its been a really good phone but there are some seriously bad design flaws for this phone and any like it. The joystick, the epicenter of my demise, will start to brake down after 6 months or so, I've changed the joystick atleast 4 times so far. It destroys itself somehow after a long time I don't know why a person would design a phone with a problem with the most used thing on the entire phone as it is the only thing to control everything on the phone. Second problem, the software... It came with software and didnt allow me to play .mp3's, thanks vodafone! So I payed again! and had the shotty removed and its been alright. Dropped it before and its been alright no big issues. Except the occasional white screen but thats all.
But that all changed I've been getting signal problems for a a while in my home when there never was before, I blamed it on the phone and put up with it. But the other night it was all too much and I was making call and it cut out as I was talking. So what did I do? Furious I didnt peg but chucked the phone at the ground, maybe I threw it harder then I originally intended but it cracked the screen. You can imagine my reaction....it included many a curse word and so forth. I was pissed. So now I cant see anything on my phone. thankfully I can see a small amount of image on the top just enough to see the signal strength, mind you is now 100% all the time. Stupid phone.
I called the phone hospital in Penrith and they quoted $120 for a new screen and $60 for a joystick replacement!!!
I think its time to get a new phone. . So I'm leaning towards a new sony ericcson phone. Something that has all the doodads, bells and whistles but without a joystick. I think I can also score a deal with vodafone for a stay with them for 24 months and get a good phone for less deal.
We'll see how we go...
Oh and to top all this off I work 2 nights (origianlly 3) at a cafe dish pigging and have been cut back. To annoy me more they cancelled my shift tonight, that leaves me with 1 shift for this week and I only do short hours. DAMN YOU PEOPLE! WHY MUST YOU DESTROY MY LIFE SO!
Time to get a new job to pay for this expensive lifestyle.
I picked up a V3x today, and am totally in love with it. Granted, it's hot pink, but theyre not bad phones :P
I have the Sony Ericsson K750i, I also owned a K700i and I found the joystick to be very weak in it, to the point where it I could not play any java games with it! Signal problems I did not have, and I had never thrown it so I wouldn't have known about any other mishaps. Also to upload MP3's on it you either need to de-brand your phone's firmware, or assign digital rights to your mp3's that you wish to upload to your phone. I assume you are using bluetooth to conenct to your k700i, so to de-brand your k700 you need a usb connection. Fortunately the k750i comes with a USB data cable. I can say the k750i is a better phone overall, 2 megapixel camera, that has Sony cybershot software in it, Better and stable firmware (No phone lockups). Also a seperated (by default) 64mb San Disk memory stick which for around 150 or so u can upgrade to 1gb, which is double the space the w800i has (which is basically the same phone, slightly different firmware and cosmetic appearance, and less functionality with PC's) All in all i'd stick with Sony Ericssons if you want that conenctivity to be at high standards with your PC, if you want even higher I suggest PDA. My 2 cents.
