Ok so this game has been out for awhile. but here is my review...

Ahh for once a game where the human race doesn't prevail over all despite the opposition having outstanding force of umbers and far more advanced technology.

You play the role of Cryptosperidium (referred to throughout most of the game as Crypto), a cloned alien warrior with a strong violent streak. You and your support team, which essentially consists of Orthapox-13, another alien cloned for his intelligence and tactical abilities, have been sent to Sol-3 (earth) to investigate the disappearance of Cryptosperidium-136 (you start the game as Cryptosperidium-137 and the number goes up each time you die) on a routine survey mission. When you arrive on earth in the 1950's you discover that he and his equipment has been captured by a primitive and violent race which, after an initial attempt at communication with the local bovine inhabitants, you discover are the dominant species on the planet.

After some time spent investigating you discover that crypto-136 has been killed and his equipment is being experimented on by the humans, crypto then goes about reaping his revenge on all the organisations involved and conquering the planet, of course the arrogant humans believe they can prevail and put up a resistance that can only be described as strength in numbers, as in the time honored tradition of Zap Branigan, they send wave after wave of troops, tanks and eventually robots after you. Their strategy leaves u with two options, you can either destroy them or avoid being detected in the first place, which option is best varies from one mission to the next.

Orthapox also discovers on arrival that humans possess suitable DNA to repair the deteriorating furon (the alien race) gene pool, so crypto must also spend a substantial amount of time extracting DNA from the humans, which can be achieved either by using the anal probe on them, or by telepathically ripping their brains out of their bodies.

With a wide range of weapons for use both on foot and from your saucer, along with a variety of different telepathic abilities, Crypto has all he needs to destroy all those who oppose him. crypto has an amusingly sadistic and patronising personality which makes him all the more lovable as the game goes on, and eventually you succeed in taking over the united states, who are somewhat responsible for the death of Crypto-136 (who attempted to land on a test rocket as it was taking of). However just when crypto thinks his mission is complete, he discovers that the United States government is not the only force to be reckoned with on earth (to be continued)

All in all a rather amusing game with a fairly long play time. Worth buying if youve got a bit of spare cash.
